The Z&A Experience

Some Z&A products need to seek permission to do things to avatars. A good example being wanting to auto-attach a prop. Until recently this would have required that the avatar who needs to wear the prop always gets prompted with a permission dialog. While seeking permission before doing something to an avatar is a good thing, it can break the flow of play. Wouldn't it be nice if you could give permission once and have it remembered in some way?

Thankfully Linden Lab introduced the concept of Experiences and they allow just that. Work is now being done to enable this in some Z&A devices. If you have such a device (you'll know if you have; you'll have got to this post because you read the notecard that said so) you can enable the Z&A experience on your plot (or have the owner of the plot enable it if you're not the owner) and enjoy the benefits of Experiences.

It's easy to do. First, pull up the details of the plot and go to the Experiences tab:

Click the "Add" button in the "Allowed Experiences" section and you'll get the experience search dialog:

The Z&A Experience is set to "Moderate" rating so be sure that you've got the max content set to Moderate or Adult. Type "Z&A Productions" into the search box and hit the "Go" button.

Select "Z&A Productions" from the list and hit the "OK" button. If you want to be sure you've got the correct Experience just select "View Profile". What you see should look something like this:

Once you've added the Experience the land information dialog should look something like this:

You should then be all good to go with the Z&A Experience. If a product uses the Experience an avatar, when their permission is required, will see this sort of dialog:

If they say "Yes" their permission will be remembered (they become part of the Experience) and the product will work seamlessly from them on. They can, of course, remove themselves from the experience at any time.

Please also note that if you'd prefer not to use the Experience the device will carry on working as normal: avatars will simply receive a normal permission request every time.
