Dance this Saturday

As has happened a couple or so times before, this Saturday, we'll be taking a weekend off from having a "theme" for the Raven Park dance. RL is going to be reasonably busy for me this week and this weekend so, rather than sorting a set and a theme, we'll just gather in the ballroom of the Raven Park mansion, hang out, natter and dance to Miss Eve's tunes.

Here's the full details:

Date: Saturday April 2nd
Time: 3pm to 5pm SLT

Goth dance

Yesterday afternoon we gathered in the Raven Park Abbey to enjoy Miss Eve's selection of Goth music, while showing off our outfit choices and natter about all sorts of subjects. There is an album of photos over on imgur; here's a few highlights:

Many thanks to everyone who came along and joined in, and to Miss Eve for a great selection of tunes. See you all in a couple of weeks!

Raven Park dance this Saturday

This Saturday it's time for another Raven Park dance and, this time, we're running with a "regular" theme that we've neglected for quite a while; we've going all goth!

Feel free to make what you want of the theme; perhaps classic goth rock, or a more Steampunk/Victorian style is more your thing? No matter your preference or taste we'd love for you to come and listen to a couple of hours of Miss Eve's best selection of goth tunes.

Here's the details (for those of us in Europe, for the moment, don't forget that we're an hour out of sync with our usual SL offsets -- this will mean the dance is an hour earlier in local time):

Date: Saturday March 19th
Time: 3pm to 5pm SLT
Where: Raven Park
Music by: Eve Terr

Plot available on Raven Park

For the first time in quite a while we have a plot available for rent on Raven Park. This is an east-facing plot, 2016 sqm in size and providing a 461 prim land capacity. Rent is L$738/wk.

You'll find the SLURL for the plot, as well as the Raven Park covenant, on our Rentals Page. You can also get an information pack from the Second Life marketplace.

Weird science dance

Yesterday afternoon was time for another Raven Park dance and, this time, we all gathered in the Raven Park Lab (built by Miss Anna, who suggested the theme) and enjoyed some perfectly-themed tracks by Miss Eve. Plenty of photos were taken, they can be found in an album over on imgur. Here's a few highlights:

Many thanks to everyone who came along and made it so much fun; to Miss Anna for a great theme and a fantastic build; and to Miss Eve for a great selection of tunes. Hopefully see you all in two weeks!

Z&A Custody Block Cell

Z&A has a fairly large range of RLV cells, in all shapes, sizes and styles. Some are grungy and very dungeon-oriented, others are designed to be very futuristic, quite a few are designed to fit around and blend in to a home and garden. One thing I've never built though is a cell that looks like it could fit into a modern police station or prison. As of today that is no longer true.

New in the main store, and on the Second Life marketplace, is the Z&A "Custody Block" cell:

It is textured with concrete on the outside, and with a fairly stark tiled interior:

The cell's resident will be able to enjoy some light through the frosted glass window, but if more is needed there are lights either side of the ceiling (which are, of course, under the control of the keyholder of the cell).

While the default look for the inside of the cell is very clean, an owner-only menu provides an option to make the tiles look dirty too (with two levels of dirt available).

The strong metal door has an access hatch that is also under the control of the keyholder, making it easy to check on the detainee.

The cell comes in two versions: no-copy/trans and copy/no-trans.

The outside of the cell is textured with the copy/no-trans version in mind. The front walls are designed so that when you place two or more cells side-by-side it makes a seamless wall.

The back wall of the cell is textured in a much rougher texture so that it can appear more like the outside wall of a building.

The overall effect of this is that, with the copy version, you can quickly and easily stack a number of cells side-by-side and create your own custody suite.

Many thanks to Anna for helping set this scene up.

You can find the new cell for viewing and testing in the main store, and it is also available for sale on the Second Life marketplace (just click either of the vendor images above to be taken to the MP listing).

Raven Park dance this Saturday

This Saturday it's time for another Raven Park dance and, this time, we're going to let our inner geeky and/or mad scientist out...

Perhaps your thing is creating your perfect sub/slave/partner/monster/etc using some diabolical method. Perhaps you just want to take over the world, or at least the grid, with some crazy contraption. Perhaps you just have a thing for goggles and big rubber gloves. Whatever it is that drives you insane with scientific lust, you're invited to join us in the Raven Park Laboratory (currently under construction by Anna).

Here's the details:

Date: Saturday March 5th
Time: 3pm to 5pm SLT
